My current work represents both a euphoric and stressful transition from Michigan to NYC in the last three years. Collages, paintings and recently, videos, range from the serene to the frenzied. I have been immersed in and dedicated to an understanding of the simultaneous appeal of both urban and natural architecture. At the same time, humans are in a cycle of making, destroying and making or "mitigating" (one of my least favorite words) natural environments and racing to gentrify urban environments. In the end it may be as simple as finding the sensual and aesthetic strike point shared by both at any moment.
